Meeting nights

1st and 3rd Wednesdays

This calendar year is over!

The New Year is next!

How much have we done this year and what comes next?

Saint Joan of Arc has had a great year, and we're looking for a better one next year!  Each year we improve our performance supporting the parish and our church.  Every member is responsible for helping to improve our programs; that's why we have meetings.

At the Parish Bazaar we raised more then $400.00 toward our Seminarian Fund.  The seminarian selected this year is Glenn Evers and a $500.00 check has been sent to help support him in his work to become a Priest.

Our annual Tootsie Roll drive is in the final stages and the benefits of this fund raiser will be donated to a local "Special Education" class for the benefit of our special citizens.

"Keeping Christ in Christmas" is our annual program for the Parish CCD kids.  Each poster turned in receives a special $Dollar, and the winners of each grade receives a certificate of appreciation.

Our Council Christmas Party on December 19th is our next Family gathering.  The "Emerson House' will cater the food and we'll provide the entertainment for the evening.  Last year we had more then 60 knights and their family members attended, and we hope to have as many this year. Santa will make an appearance at 8pm and we hope there will be plenty of kids to great him.

IMPORTANT:  Please bring a present with your child's name for Santa to present!

For our 4th Degree members, we will have some 4th degree regalia at silent auction.  Proceeds will go to St. Joan's and there will be a cape, swords, gloves and a case.

Medic Alert Identification!

When 'first responders' come they are trained to look for any medical information that is relative to the person they are treating.  In many cases that information can be a mater of life or death to the patient.  Allergic reactions to drugs, special information for treatments and someone to contact in case of emergencies is typical information on these bracelets or necklaces.

Who needs these lifesaving devices?  Maybe you if you have a serious allergy to a medicine like penicillin or a food like peanuts, or milk;  but especially if you can't communicate to the first responder.  Saint Joan of Arc members recognize the importance of these identifiers and we have donated $250.00 to the Caroline Center in Ridgely for the purchase of "Medic Alert" bracelets and necklaces' for their clients.

The next Parish Super Sunday is January 6th

Saint Joan's Knight's came out in force for the December 2nd parish breakfast!  Father Norm is pleased with our Sunday support with breakfast for our parishioners.  Bring our families together is an important part of what the Knights of Columbus works to accomplish.

We have turned out in force to work in the kitchen, on the line and cleaning up.  This year we are having a really good membership response (don't slack off now) and it gives each of us time to enjoy our own breakfast and visit with our family and friends.  This is also an excellent time to talk to a 'Qualified Catholic Man' about joining us in our service to our church, our parish and community.

It makes all of us feel good when our men turn out to serve the parish families on Super Sunday Breakfast, and I can tell our community is impressed because of the comments they make and when how our knights are looked up to.

Keep up the GOOD WORK!
