July 2007
With taking over as the Grand Knight of Saint Joan of Arc Council as of the 1st of July, I felt blessed and grateful that the first event I was able to be apart of was the Council’s annual 4th of July picnic, held at Brother Knight Donny Gallagher’s home. It was a great time! I had a chance to catch up with some fellow Brothers that I haven’t seen in a while, and at the same time I was able to get to know some new Bother knights and laugh with the “old” Knights that I see many times though out the year. As always the food was great and plentiful, more then one plate could hold! A big thank you and salute to Donny, Linda and his family for opening there home and pool to us, what better place to celebrate our freedom! Just a reminder Summer Fest will be here before you know it. Please try and set aside some time during this event to help out in our booth. As you know many hands, make light work. It will be essential that we have enough hands on deck to set up, clean up and work the event. Thank you in advance for helping out with this fundraiser. I find it very humbling to take over as your Grand Knight. I have big shoes to fill; I will be counting on everyone for their input and participation as our council continues to grow. Thank you again for your advance support, I’m excited and looking forward to a blessed and successful year. God bless us all… Chris Spinner
Grand Knight

On June 20th, Saint Joan's opened the house for new members! Chris Spinner, Mike Porter and Dave Scarano cooked and prepared our 'Steaks' to perfection. Two new candidates attended our dinner, while a couple other interested men could not attend. Now we are looking for a 1st degree ceremony to exemplify our new-found-friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ $ Council Money $ Saint Joan's Fall Flower Sale While it's still a couple of months away, we still plan to have our Vegetable and Fruit sale at all 3 Mass' later in the Fall. Many of our customers have asked about our sale when we bring the fruit and vegetables to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Super Sunday and Donut Hospitality will begin this fall.

We are still searching for new members!
With the beginning of of a new year, and new officers, we are searching for 5-6 new men to fill our ranks as knights. The more members we have the more we can do for our parish, and our community.
There will be another 1st Degree Ceremony soon! Do you know someone who is interested in becoming a Knight of Columbus?

4th of July Picnic
Our Independence Day Picnic was a beautiful event this year. The weather stayed in the mid 80's with a cool breeze all day, and was comfortable to the kids and grown-ups alike. Lynn and Chris Spinner organized the food this year and we enjoyed a wide variety of 'home-made-dishes' this year.
