Grand Knight's Letter
Grand Knights letter
Brother Knights Easter is here! Holy week started on March 16th with Palm Sunday. I hope and pray that you take the time to participate in Holy week activities. Starting with the Chrism Mass at Holy Cross Church, Dover, DE, on Monday the 17th at 7:30PM. If you have never been to the Chrism Mass, it is wonderful way to prepare yourself for the most holy week of our Church.
The Chrism Mass is were our Priests renew there vows to the Bishop and the Church. To hear all of our Priests renew their vows together, is one sight to see and hear! The Mass is also were the oils are blessed that we use in our sacraments for the next year. If you have someone who will be Confirmed or is expecting a baby this year (baptized), you will see the oil that will be used in that sacrament, blessed by the Bishop.
Then we have the Triduum which is Holy Thursday (Mass of the last Super), Good Friday (Service of the Lord’s Passion), and the Vigil of Easter (Celebration of the Sacraments). It is worth the effort and time to be apart of all three days. It comes highly recommended!! Check your bulletin or call the parish office for times.
The Super Sunday breakfast was another great success. A good time was held by all!
We are getting close to April 12th ,the Bull & Oyster Roast. The plans are coming together and we will need all the help we can get. Please put the 12th on your calendars and come out, work with your Brother Knights and have a good time doing it.
God Bless you all!
Grand Knight
Chris Spinner

John likes to salt water fish, and “just hang out in his shop” and he also enjoys reading stories about our Catholic Saints.
John & Susan have been married for 18 years, with their anniversary fast approaching on June 23rd. this year they will also celebrate Susan's confirmation into the church after RICA classes this spring.
Susan works as an out patient Chemotherapy Nurse at Easton hospital. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time riding and caring for their 2 horses. Susan will be celebrating her birthday on April 18th.

New to full knighthood in the 3rd Degree:
Dan Freeman Brian Harris
Pete Schirmer Joe Kidwell
Each year we attempt to grow with a few new dedicated knights to help share in the work we do locally and through out the world. We are famous for supporting our church, our Bishops and Priests and the Pope. Our goal is only 5 new men a year and so far this year we have enlisted 2 new members; we need 3 more men.
Our membership stands now at 72 members and we are striving for 75 this year. Our parish has many 'Good Catholic Men' who would join us if they were asked. Each of us has the responsibility to seek out these 'Good Catholic Men' and offer them the opportunity to be a member of the greatest Catholic Fraternity on earth, and we number more then 7 Million Men.
Each of us are required to attain the highest degree of professionalism we can reach. There are 4 degrees in our fraternity and each of them has a separate theme we learn about the Knights of Columbus. Each of us need to become at least a 3rd Degree Knight; and a 4th degree if you are invited.
Now, get out there and recruit those men who are missing out on our brotherhood!
The next Parish Super Sunday is April 6th
