CHRISTIAN FORMATION
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN RCIA?
Last weekend here at St. Benedict’s, some of our candidates are completing the initial formation period of the R.C.I.A. called
The Inquiry period. The R.C.I.A. RITE OF WELCOME,  the first ritual process also known as the Rite of Acceptance,
was
celebrated at the 8:30 a.m. Liturgy.  In this Rite we, as a faith community publicly welcome them into our midst as they state
their desire to become  members of our faith community.  We  ask that you keep them in your prayers as well as those
preparing them to enter into the Church as they continue their journey toward the Easter sacraments!
We welcome our candidates Kaitlyn & Joshua Bathras,
and catechumen Justin Bathras!

SUNDAY MORNING PICK ME UP PRAYER!
Dear God,
Another Sunday morning to roll my family out of bed.  The older kids resent my responsibilities and the burden it puts on
them.  It’s so hard sometimes, but even this commitment is a blessing, God.  If I didn’t have to be there it would be too
tempting to give in and stay home.  In a way I am teaching my family also – about responsibility and commitment, and the
importance of meeting with other Catholics.  Even though it may be a chore now, maybe Sunday morning church will grow
from a habit to meeting a real need for them as adults.  Thank you God for this mixed blessing; and would you mind sending
one of your thunder bolts down to wake them up?
