Pray –
with their families and faith communities
·
Fast – in solidarity with those who are hungry
·
Learn – about the joys and challenges in the lives of
our brothers and sisters around the world
·
Give – sacrificial contributions to those in need around the world
75% of your contributions support Catholic Relief Services and 25% remain in the Diocese to fund local poverty and hunger alleviation
efforts.   Rice Bowls and calendars can be obtained at the entrances of either Church.  Donations received at the March 15th Soup &

Habitat for Humanity News
The next Habitat for Humanity Breakfast will be offered on Saturday,  March 18th from 8-10am in the  Parish Hall.  Join us for a
delicious  buffet breakfast and help us to “raise the roof” on the next  Habitat for Humanity  home.   Cost for the  breakfast is just
$5/person.
Items for the Habitat Yard Sale (which will be held on Saturday, April 22) will be accepted at the parish hall on Saturday, March 25
and during the week of April 17-21.  Please refrain from delivering large items (furniture, appliances, etc…) until the week of April 17-

garages and the nooks and crannies of your home and deliver the items to the hall on one of the scheduled dates.
Please pray…
Senator Richard Colburn is working with a significant number of key state senators to defeat Senate Bill 144, “Maryland Stem Cell
Research Act of 2006”.  This  measure will devote  $25  million of state  money to funding human cloning and embryonic stem cell
research.  The senators are trying to defeat the bill by conducting a filibuster, which is expected to last several days.  It will start
Tuesday, March 7th.  Please pray for Senator Colburn, asking that the Lord grant him strength to continue to support the filibuster until
the bill is defeated.  IF you would like to send a word of encouragement to Senator Colburn, visit the Maryland Catholic Conference
website (www.mdcathcon.org) for contact information.
