RECOGNIZING GRADUATES
We would like to formally recognize and congratulate all of the members of our parish who will graduate from high school or
college during the coming weeks – to celebrate their achievements and pray for their future successes. You are encouraged
to write the name of any graduate (yourself or one that you know) on one of the cards attached to the small bulletin boards
at the entrance of either church.
SPRINGFEST 2006
Last chance to drop off your Auction items!
Our Springfest Dinner & Auction is next Saturday, June 10 and your support of this parish fundraiser is vital to its success.
You may drop off your donations of items or theme baskets for the auction to the parish office anytime during the coming
week. Our final weekly 50/50 raffle will take place this weekend – tickets can be purchased after any mass. The number of
last weekend’s winning 50/50 ticket was: 828945 and the winner will receive $ 60.00. Check those stubs and contact the
parish office if you are holding the winning ticket.
An Ambitious Project is Underway!
Our last parish directory was published in 2003 and since then we have welcomed numerous new families to
our parish. This is an ambitious undertaking that will require the assistance of numerous parishioners. After
several initial planning meetings, we have now defined some sub-committees and we are seeking additional
volunteers. The Sign-UpTeam will assist parish families in signing up for photography sessions as well as
send them reminder postcards before the photo session dates. This team will have a meeting on June 20th at 7pm in the
Hall. The Welcoming Team will provide hosts/hostesses for the photo session dates and will ensure a smooth flow as parish
families wait to be photographed. The Presentation Team will be composed of parishioners who will be trained to use a
computer program that will allow parish families to view and order their photos after they are taken. These 2 teams will have
a meeting on July 18th. If you think you might be interested in helping on any of these 3 teams, please contact Lori in the
parish office (410-634-2253 or
willingness to help. With your time and talents, we can make this vision a reality!
SODALITY NEWS
The Blessed Virgin Mother Sodality of our parish has completed another very successful and faith-
filled year. In brief, our organization is composed of women from our parish who, through their
devotion to the Church and the Blessed Mother, give of their time and talents to assist our parish
especially in works of charity, hospitality, and devotion. This year, the Sodality sponsored the
Annual Fall Bazaar (great job ladies!), funded a child in Central America, assisted with Sunday
Hospitality (a special thank you to Terri Wood), and conducted outreach to our shut-ins at Easter
and Christmas (with lovely donations from our generous parish). We also try to assist with other
parish hospitality needs such as funeral luncheons and special dinners, etc… We meet on the
second Monday of each month, pray the Rosary, and conduct our business meeting. Please feel free to join us as we
heartily invite you to become a member of our organization. As a final note, our end of the year dinner will be held at the
home of Pat & Doug League on Saturday, June 24 beginning at 4pm. Please RSVP to Pat at 410-820-9309 for complete
