LITURGY
Guided by the liturgical documents of the Church and approved Diocesan guidelines, the Liturgy Committee coordinates the liturgical life of the parish under the guidance of the Pastor. The committee is responsible for determining long-range goals and specific objectives for the liturgical life of the parish in conjunction with the pastoral plan established by the Pastor and the pastoral council. This committee is responsible for the scheduling of ministers to serve at the masses, including Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Music Ministers, Ushers and Altar Servers. The liturgy committee is responsible for the following:
Coordinating the liturgical life of the parish.
Promoting and developing the prayer life of the community through proper liturgical practice.
Guiding and advising the parish on liturgical issues.
Preparing all Sunday and weekday celebrations of the Eucharist and scheduling liturgical ministers to serve at all masses.
Ensuring the proper formation of all liturgical ministers in the parish.
Preparing all Sacramental celebrations.
Coordinating all sacramental, liturgical and devotional celebrations scheduled by special groups in the parish.
Evaluating the liturgical life and celebrations of the parish.
Communicating liturgical information to the Pastor, ministerial groups, parish pastoral council and parishioners.
Promoting liturgical awareness and formation in the parish so that the assembly is led to full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy.

Four Liturgy Teams support the many facets of Liturgy in our parish – everything from preparing beautiful, meaningful environments in keeping with the appropriate liturgical seasons for our churches to collaborating in the choice of liturgical music is included in the duties of each team.
