Secretary.
Section  2.  Annually  and  in  the  Spring  at  the  first  Council  meeting  following  elections,  the
members of the Council shall vote among themselves for two offices, those of Executive Officer
and Secretary. Following nominations, voting shall be by secret ballot, and in the event of a tie,
balloting shall continue until a candidate receives a simple majority. Each office shall be voted
upon individually, thus permitting candidates not elected to be nominated for another office.

be necessary.
Section 4. The Executive Officer shall be the assistant to the Pastor/President in coordinating
the work of the Council. He assists the pastor in preparing for meetings and in following up on
the  Council’s  work.  The  pastor  may  delegate  the  Executive  Officer  to  chair  meetings.  The
Executive Officer shall also perform other tasks as may be delegated to him by the pastor. The
Executive  Officer  is  to  insure  that  an  effective  means  is  established  whereby  the  parish
community is kept informed of the Council’s work.
Section 5, The Secretary shall take minutes at all regular and special meetings of the Council,
and shall communicate these minutes to Council members sufficiently prior to the next meeting.
The Secretary shall preserve the minutes in a permanent record. The Secretary shall issue and
retain reports and shall prepare and send out all correspondence necessitated by the work of
the Council. The Secretary shall also attend to preparing notices to appear in the parish bulletin
