D. Budget-
- Currently we are $140 a week over projected amount of weekly collection!!
- Finance Council has proposed budget for the upcoming year-
- It has been proposed that the parish community takes on the responsibility of Religious
Education income by way of a special collection (announced) on Catechetical Sunday in
September to reduce the fee to administrative costs only $20 per family for Religious Educ. and
$10 per sacrament.
-
A review of parish income shows that approx. 10% goes to other people.
Motion was made and seconded- Budget approved as written!
E. Old Business
* Ad Hoc Committee reported 4 main project goals- worship space is the biggest problem but
need to preserve the rural, two church nature of the parish.
* Next steps are to have a feasibility study completed and contact the diocese to agree to a
building fund.
* Thanks to the Committee for working on this project!!
* The plan needs to be “owned” by the Parish Leadership Council so if our church
leadership/pastor changes the plan will continue!
