Offertory has been lower, but this is always true at this
time of year. It goes up again in Sept/Oct
·
Need to reinforce the idea that “people need to go to
church” “why aren’t people in church?” (growing
phenomenon) affects offertory
E. Old Business
·
The next step in growth planning is clear- there needs to
be an immediate demographics and utilization study. A
group needs to be formed in October.
·
We need to be creative with our space utilization.
F. New Business
·
The Parish Council focus is to work together with good,
honest discussion. The council is representative. We have
real, defined work as a council. There is value to our
presence.
·
Everyone has the Adult Catechism. A parish council
reflection schedule was handed out. Members are to read
the chosen chapter BEFORE the meeting and be prepared to
discuss.
·
Fr. Carroll handed out the “Catechist’s Companion”
·
Our focus theme this year is scripture and the gospels
·
We will continue the 10:00-10:30 format on Super Sundays
·
There was a short discussion about the direction of Super
Sundays and the idea that we need to be creative with hall
space at these times. Possibly there could be “age-
appropriate” groups where the same topic would be presented
and discussed. It is a challenge—but a “good problem”
·
There are 7 people in RCIA now—another “good problem”

·

covered for now.
