Discussion:
^ Not the time for a big project or something
perceived as a big project
^ Need something flexible so people are not too
overwhelmed
E. New Business
* Last years source of Reflection was 7 Secrets of
Successful Catholics .
* This year it will be U.S. Catholic Catechism for
Adults.
It is based on the Catechism of the church. Each
Chapter is set up in a similar way by starting off
identifying a saint or important person and how they
apply faith to their life.  Each chapter has words
from the catechism, discussion questions, meditation
and prayer.
The council will set a good example by reading and
discussing it throughout the year.
F. Pastors Report
* CF/RE staff- Fr. Carroll is not in a hurry to hire
just to hire a body.  The parish needs to be aware of
the roles and responsibilities before deciding what we
need in the position.
* Fr. Carroll is the ultimate teacher of the church.
DRE is seen as a resource -the knowledgeable person on
“how to teach...”
* Paper work and coordination is currently being done
by Kathy Wood and volunteers . A new database is in
place to coordinate record of parishioners and
Religious Ed forms.
* This weeks 7:15 a.m. mass was the best yet-
Fr.
Carroll is committed to this mass until the need does
not exist.
* Religious Education- Safe Environments
- Catechist and volunteers need a background check
- NEW Dismissal Policy- no
one 5th grade and under may
leave the hall without an adult or older sibling.
There will be door monitors at each exit.
- A phone line is now in the Great Room in case of emergencies.
The number is 410-634-2253 ext. 20

experience and wants to thank all who he encountered.
